Burrington village sits sandwiched between the  limestone Mendip Hills a stunning landscape of steep slopes and undulating plateaus punctuated by spectacular gorges and rocky outcrops. It is truly a walkers paradise with a huge selection of outdoor pursuits on offer and you do not have to get in the car to enjoy them! From our doorstep there are numerous walking, biking trails and bridle paths which enables our guests to enjoy the vast expanse of the Mendip hills and Blackdown.

There are many delicious eateries within a close proximity. Within 10 minutes you could be sitting at the Ethicurean a local restaurant with a Michelin bib serving locally sourced food in the romantic setting of the walled garden and orchard, or enjoying a delicious meal at The Plough in Wrington. At the Crown in Churchill a real walkers bolt hole one can enjoy delicious lunches on Saturday or Sunday washed down with local beers and cider. Should you wish to cook there are many butchers selling locally reared meat  and a large farm shop close up so you can stock up on local specialities.
